Part-Time Private Chef

A private family on Singer Island is seeking an experienced Part-Time Private Chef to prepare fresh, healthy, flavorful family-style meals for approximately 56 people, including two children.

This is initially a temporary 23 month assignment with the potential to transition into a permanent position for the right candidate.

The focus is on fresh, healthy, flavorful family-style cooking rather than formal fine dining. The chef should be able to prepare wholesome, delicious meals from scratch using fresh, high-quality ingredients while comfortably accommodating several dietary needs, including kosher meat, gluten-free, dairy-free, diabetic-friendly, and healthy clean eating.

The family enjoys a variety of cuisines, including Mediterranean, Indian, and Thai, as well as fresh fish, roasted chicken, soups, salads, vegetable-forward dishes, and other healthy family-style meals. Ingredients should be fresh and seasonal, with organic products used when available. The family prefers fresh herbs, spices, quality meats and seafood, homemade sauces, minimal processed foods, and no canned foods or pre-made sauces whenever possible.

Schedule: Monday & Thursday

Responsibilities

• Prepare dinner for approximately 56 people.
• Prepare additional portions for lunch the following day.
• Create varied menus based on the family's preferences and dietary needs.
• Prepare meals and sauces from scratch using fresh ingredients.
• Grocery shop and source high-quality, seasonal ingredients.
• Maintain kitchen inventory, organization, cleanliness, and proper food storage.
• Provide variety while keeping meals healthy, fresh, and family-friendly.

Requirements:

• Previous Private Chef experience.
• Strong background in healthy, family-style cooking.
• Comfortable accommodating multiple dietary requirements.
• Knowledge of kosher meat requirements.
• Experience with gluten-free, dairy-free, and diabetic-friendly cooking.
• Strong grocery shopping and ingredient-sourcing skills.
• Organized, creative, flexible, and able to work independently.
• Excellent professional references.
• Interested in a temporary assignment with the potential for a long-term permanent opportunity.

Compensation: Daily rate commensurate with experience.
